what to be aware of when divorcing your spouse

Every marriage is not meant to last forever. No matter what the reasoning behind the divorce, it is important to have legal representation for each side. I almost lost everything because my former spouse said that he was taking care of things and that he would be fair about how the assets were divided. It took several weeks for me to find out what he was up to. It was then that I hired my own attorney and got what I deserved. You should never attempt to go through a divorce without a lawyer working on your side. On my site, I have listed several of the issues that can get overlooked if you are inexperienced with divorce documents and proceedings.

What to Do After Someone Has Hired a Bail Bondsman for You

Joy Johnson

When you get arrested and find yourself behind bars, the only thing you can think about is getting out. The confinement and inability to enjoy the freedom that you had before can be so disturbing that you're willing to do nearly anything to be released. If the bail amount that has been set for you is not within your reach, a friend or loved one may have been kind enough to reach out to a bail bondsman so that they can have you bonded out. When this happens, there are some very important rules you need to follow.

Find out what you need to do after someone has hired a bail bondsman for you.

Show Up for Every Court Date

After you have been bonded out of jail it is essential that you show up for each and every court date. There's just too much on the line and you truly can't afford to treat your court dates like they are optional.

If you've spoken with the person who hired the bondsman for you and they say that they've put up a valuable piece of property for the collateral, you definitely don't want them to lose their goods. They took a serious risk by laying out their house or car to gain your freedom. All you have to do is make your court appearances so that they won't lose what they've worked hard to obtain.

You should also know that if you are a no-show on any court date, the bondsman can then become a bounty hunter. You have to remember that they used their own money to pay your bail. They don't want to lose those funds or be on the hook for the entire amount because you failed to uphold your end of the bargain.

Offer Nice Gestures

It's so easy to forget about just how desolate you felt while you were in jail. The moment those doors spring open, you can quickly revert back to your normal self, just glad to be out of those handcuffs. However, if it is possible, you should try to extend a nice gesture to the person who bonded you out. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money. Maybe you mow their lawn, volunteer to babysit, cook a good meal, or just spend a few afternoons with them. Whatever you can do to show that you are grateful for the sacrifice that they made.
